  12.           (TUCSON, Ariz. -- September 30, 1991) -- Artisoft announced today
  13.           its new LANtastic  10BASE-T Starter Kit, packaging  the LANtastic
  14.           Network Operating  System software (for  up to 300 users)  with a
  15.           Peer-Hub(TM)  10BASE-T  concentrator,   two  AE-1/T(TM)  Ethernet
  16.           adapters, cabling and  documentation. Scheduled to ship  in early
  17.           October 1991.

  19.           "The  LANtastic  10BASE-T  Starter  Kit is designed to provide an
  20.           integrated hardware/software  solution and one-stop  shop for end
  21.           users and resellers,"said Jack Schoof,Artisoft President and CEO.

  23.           Artisoft develops and  manufactures a full  line of hardware  and
  24.           software  for local area  networks including the  LANtastic Local
  25.           Area Network.  The LANtastic  network is  a peer-to-peer  network
  26.           that  allows users  of IBM-compatible  computers  to connect  and
  27.           share information and  peripheral devices such as  printers, hard
  28.           drives and CD-ROMs.      The AE-1/T Ethernet adapter is an 8-bit,
  29.           ISA  bus  network  adapter  for  use  with  IBM  PC/XT/AT 386/486
  30.           computers and compatibles. It offers a 10Mbps data transfer rate,
  31.           supports  8K of  onboard  RAM  and  is  software-compatible  with
  32.           Novell's NE1000 adapter.       The   AE-1/T   Ethernet  adapter's
  33.           telephone-style RJ45 jack connects to the  Peer-Hub concentrator,
  34.           or  any  standard  10BASE-T  hub,  with  unshielded  twisted-pair
  35.           cabling. The adapter  includes a link-integrity LED to  show if a
  36.           proper connection to  the hub has been made.  The AE-1/T Ethernet
  37.           adapter  also has a  special connector for  linking internally to
  38.           the Peer-Hub concentrator.    The  Peer-Hub  concentrator   is  a
  39.           complete 10BASE-T hub residing in a host PC. It has five external
  40.           10BASE-T  ports using modular RJ45 telephone-style jacks that can
  41.           connect to any standard 10BASE-T adapters. Its network management
  42.           software allows the host PC to  view the status of all ports,  as
  43.           well as activate or disable each port individually. Plus, onboard
  44.           EEPROM  saves  the  complete  network  configuration  to  memory,
  45.           guarding against power outage.     The Peer-Hub concentrator also
  46.           has three special internal connectors which have been designed to
  47.           connect  with  other  Artisoft(TM)  products.  One   provides  an
  48.           internal 10BASE-T connection to  Artisoft's AE-1/T, AE-2/T(TM) or
  49.           AE-3(TM)    Ethernet  adapters  without using  one  of  the  five
  50.           external RJ45 ports. Another  internal connector is used  to link
  51.           multiple Peer-Hub concentrators together; up to four per  PC. The
  52.           third option,  with  the separate  purchase  of an  Artisoft  AUI
  53.           Interface Kit, provides  an internal coax connection  between the
  54.           Peer-Hub  concentrator  and  an  Artisoft  AE-3 Ethernet  adapter
  55.           (which supports  thin  and thick  coax  in addition  to  10BASE-T
  56.           connections). Used in this manner, the AUI Interface Kit  creates
  57.           a  bridge between  the  10BASE-T network  on the  hub and  a coax
  58.           Ethernet segment attached to the AE-3 Ethernet adapter.     F o r
